There are numerous plugins are available to enhance WordPress menus by adding icons and images. Among them, Menu Icons by ThemeIsle boasts the highest number of downloads. It is freely accessible on wordpress.org
After activating the plugin on your site, navigate to the Appearance menu > Menus. You’ll see an additional text line “Icon: Select” in each item editing tab.
Press Select, then a popup appears and allows you to choose icons as well as configure the size, position, and other options.
Next, click on “Select” and save the menu. Your newly added icon will be displayed correctly in the menu.
